Ground Breaking Ceremony For Monte Bernardo’s home at King Oaks

Thanks to our builders Weber Custom Homes, Pitcock & Croix Custom Homes and Quinn Williams as well as countless donors and volunteers, Monte and his family will soon by moving into a custom-built, mortgage-free home in King Oaks.

“Sergeant Monte Bernardo is a 30 year old veteran who served in the Army for six years including two deployments to Afghanistan. During his second tour, he was severely injured and had his legs and a hand amputated. He was awarded the Purple Heart along with several other military commendations for his service.
“It made it worth fighting the last six and a half years of my life. It made it worth my legs, my hand, it’s all worth it to have people like this. All America should be like this,” said Bernardo.
